# agents

> Reference for the agents tool: create, read and list agents; running is part of the AI features.

Source: https://prompt-verse.io/docs/reference/agents/

An agent holds instructions, a provider and settings such as temperature. Use versions to give it a history.

Call it as `geenius_promptverse(tool: "agents", action: "<action>", args: {...})` through Geenius OS, or as the `agents` tool of the Prompt Verse MCP server with `action` and `args`.

## Actions

| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| `create` | A new agent. |
| `get` | One agent with its definition. |
| `list` | Newest first, optionally filtered by provider. |
| `run` | One turn: your message and its answer. Remembers the last 20 turns. Switched off in the pre-beta. |

> run is listed but refuses while the AI features are off.
